In a local network, 10.167.0.121 commonly functions as the default gateway, acting as a communication bridge between user devices—such as computers, smartphones, and smart home equipment—and the router’s internal management system.

Many wireless routers, modem routers, and ADSL gateway devices use 10.167.0.121 as their default login IP address. Through this address, users can access the router’s web-based administration interface to configure essential network settings and monitor basic network status.

Routers may support multiple management access addresses, and 10.167.0.121 is simply one of the most widely used options. Default gateway addresses can vary by manufacturer and model, and in most cases, users are able to modify the router’s login IP manually. For this reason, it is always important to verify the correct access address based on the specific router configuration.

Most router administration interfaces operate on port 80 by default, which is why the port number is usually omitted from the address (for example, http://10.167.0.121:80 ). If the management port has been changed, the full address must be entered manually, such as http://10.167.0.121:8080.

After successfully accessing the router’s control panel via 10.167.0.121, users can manage common network features, including bandwidth control (QoS), DNS and proxy configuration, LAN and WAN settings, wireless (WLAN) options, PPPoE setup, MAC address filtering, WPS configuration, DHCP client management, and basic network security settings.

Before logging in to 10.167.0.121 on a computer, make sure the computer is connected to the router you want to manage. You can connect an Ethernet cable to one of the router's LAN ports or join the router's Wi-Fi network. Once connected, open http://10.167.0.121 in a web browser.

• Open a web browser such as Microsoft Edge, Chrome, or Firefox.
• Type http://10.167.0.121 in the browser's address bar, then press Enter.

• Connect your Mac to a LAN port on the router with an Ethernet cable, or use the Wi-Fi menu to join the router's wireless network.
• Open Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or another web browser.
• Type http://10.167.0.121 in the address bar at the top of the browser, then press Return.
• If the address is correct, the router's login page will load.
• Enter the correct admin username and password, then select "Log In" to open the router settings.

• Connect the computer to a LAN port on the router with an Ethernet cable, or join the router's Wi-Fi network from the system network settings.
• Open Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or another web browser.
• Type http://10.167.0.121 in the browser's address bar, then press Enter.
• If the address is correct, the router login page will load.
• Enter the router's admin username and password, then select "Log In" to open the settings page.

Important: Enter 10.167.0.121 in the address bar at the top of the browser, not in a Google, Bing, or other search box. Otherwise, the browser may search the web for 10.167.0.121 instead of opening your router's login page.

If your computer is connected to the router but 10.167.0.121 still will not open, the address may be mistyped, the router's admin address may not be 10.167.0.121, or the computer may not have received a valid IP address. Continue with the troubleshooting steps below.

Before logging in to 10.167.0.121 on an iPhone, connect the phone to the router's Wi-Fi and temporarily turn off cellular data. Otherwise, the phone may use its cellular connection instead of the local router network.

Steps to log in to 10.167.0.121 on an iPhone:

• Open the iPhone's "Settings" app.
• Tap "Wi-Fi," then connect to the Wi-Fi network of the router you want to manage.
• Open Safari or another installed browser, such as Chrome or Edge.
• Type http://10.167.0.121 in the address bar at the top or bottom of the browser, then tap "Go."
• If the connection and address are correct, the router login page will open.
• Enter the correct router admin username and password, then tap "Log In" to open the settings page.

Before logging in to 10.167.0.121 on an Android phone, connect the phone to the router's Wi-Fi and temporarily turn off mobile data. This prevents the phone from switching to cellular data when the Wi-Fi network has no internet access, which can keep the local login page from opening.

• Open the phone's "Settings" app.
• Tap "Wi-Fi," "Network & internet," or a similar option, then connect to the router's Wi-Fi network.
• Open Chrome, Edge, the phone's built-in browser, or another installed web browser.
• Type http://10.167.0.121 in the address bar at the top or bottom of the browser, then tap "Go" or press Enter.
• If the connection and address are correct, the router login page will open.
• Enter the correct router admin username and password, then tap "Log In" to open the settings page.

Steps to manage a router with an app:

• Connect your phone to the Wi-Fi network of the router you want to manage.
• Open the Apple App Store or Google Play, then search for the official app from your router manufacturer. For example, many TP-Link routers use the TP-Link Tether app. You can also scan the QR code below if it is provided for your router.
• Open the app, then sign in or create an account if prompted.
• The app will usually find compatible routers on the current Wi-Fi network. Select your router and enter its admin password when prompted to add or link the device.
• After the router is linked, you can open its Wi-Fi and network settings in the app.

Do as follows:

If you've forgotten your login password, you'll need to reset your wireless router or ADSL modem to its factory default settings. This process will revert all settings, including the password, to what they were when the device was new. After resetting, you can use the default username and password (usually found in the router's manual or on a label on the router itself) to log in.

To reset your router:

Most routers have a small, recessed reset button. While the device is powered on, carefully press and hold this "Reset" button for about 10-15 seconds. You may need a paperclip or a toothpick to press it. After holding the button, release it. The router will then restore to its factory settings and restart automatically (see [Figure 2]).

If you enter http://10.167.0.121 in your browser but the webpage doesn't open, and you see an error message (as illustrated in [Figure 4]), here's what to do:

Follow these steps:

1. Ensure your computer and router are properly connected: check that the Ethernet cable is securely plugged into both your computer and one of the router's LAN ports, and verify that the LAN port's indicator light is on (refer to the connection example in [Figure 3]).

2. Configure your computer to obtain an IP address automatically (often called DHCP).

3. Double-check that the IP address you entered in the browser is indeed your router's management address (you can find this information as shown in [Figure 1]).

4. Check if the router's access port has been modified. If remote management is enabled and the router's management port was changed, you'll need to include the new port number in the address, like this: http://10.167.0.121:[port_number] (e.g., http://10.167.0.121:8080).

5. Verify your browser settings. If your browser is configured to use a proxy server or an automatic dialing function, this might prevent access to the router's management interface. Try disabling these settings.

6. Check for IP and MAC address binding. If your router has this feature enabled and your device isn't correctly configured in the binding list, you might not be able to log in. If you've forgotten the router's management IP address or port, it's recommended to reset the router to its factory settings (see instructions related to [Figure 2]).

Entering an IP address in an invalid format will prevent the router’s login page from loading. To successfully access your router's settings, please double-check the address and ensure it is entered correctly.

Your router comes with a preset default login IP address (or sometimes a domain name). However, you can change this address. Modifying it can enhance security by making it harder for others to access and tamper with your router's settings.

Follow these steps to change it:

1. Log in to your router's management page (if you need help, refer to our guide: How to log in 10.167.0.121 IP address?).

2. Once logged in, look for a menu option such as "LAN Settings," "Network Settings," or "Local Network." This is where you'll typically find the settings for the router's own IP address.

3. In this section, find the field for the LAN IP address (or similar) and change it to your desired new IP address. For example, you could change it to 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.3.1 (as illustrated in [Figure 6]).

4. Save your changes. The router will likely need to restart to apply the new IP address; it might do this automatically, or you may need to restart it manually. After it restarts, use the new IP address to log back into the router's management page.

💡 Tip: If you encounter any problems during this process, or if you forget the new IP address, you can always reset the router to its factory default settings. This will restore all settings, including the IP address, to their original state.
