Most ASUS routers use 192.168.1.1 as their default management address. However, for certain models such as RT-AC1200, RT-ACRH13, RT-ACRH17, RT-AC95U, or RT-N66U C1, the default login address is usually 192.168.50.1. You can also log in by visiting router.asus.com.
About 192.168.50.1
192.168.50.1 is the factory preset address (default LAN IP) for some ASUS router models. It’s a unique address within your local network that identifies the router. By visiting http://192.168.50.1 or https://192.168.50.1, you can access the ASUS router management page to configure Wi-Fi settings or update the firmware.
In short, 192.168.50.1 serves as the login gateway for some ASUS routers.
How to Log In to 192.168.50.1
1. Plug the router’s power adapter into a wall outlet and turn it on. Wait a few seconds until the indicator light changes from red to green — this means the router has fully started up.
2. Connect your computer, phone, or tablet to the router’s Wi-Fi network. The default network name (SSID) can be found on the label on your ASUS router. For first-time setup, you usually don’t need a Wi-Fi password.
Alternatively, you can connect your computer directly to the router using an Ethernet cable — one end goes into your computer’s LAN port and the other into the router’s LAN port (the yellow one).
3. Open any web browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and type http://192.168.50.1 into the address bar. Then press “Enter” or “Go” to access the ASUS router login page.
4. Once the login page appears, enter the administrator username and password. By default, both are usually set to “admin.” If you’ve changed them before, use your updated login credentials.
5. After entering the correct password, you’ll be logged into the ASUS router’s admin panel.
6. On the admin panel, you can adjust settings as needed. To modify your Wi-Fi, click on “Wireless” on the left side, then go to “General”. Here you can rename your network (SSID), change encryption mode, or set a new password.
