1. Plug in your ZTE 5G CPE router and insert your 4G or 5G SIM card. Wait for the router to finish booting until the WiFi and signal lights are stable.

2. Open your phone or computer’s WiFi settings and connect to the default network (usually named ZTE_XXXXXX). Enter the WiFi password printed on the router label. If you are using a computer, you can also connect it directly to the router’s LAN port using an Ethernet cable.

3. Once connected, open a browser and enter 192.168.0.1 in the address bar, then press Enter.
Make sure you enter it in the address bar, not the search box. Watch out for typos like 192.168.o.1, 192 l 168.0 1, or 192.168.0.1.1 — otherwise the router login page may not load.

4. If this is your first time logging in, the Setup Wizard will appear and walk you through setting up your WiFi name, password, and basic network settings.
If you see the login page instead, the router has already been set up. Log in using the admin password to continue.

5. After logging in, open the “WiFi Settings” or “Wireless Settings” menu in the admin interface.

6. In the WiFi settings page, locate the Main SSID field. Update the SSID and security settings with your preferred WiFi name and password, then save your changes.
For better security, use a password with at least 8 characters, including letters and numbers.

7. To access advanced options such as WiFi channel, bandwidth, or hiding the SSID, go to “Advanced Settings”.

8. After saving, the router will restart the WiFi network. Your devices will disconnect temporarily. Wait 1–2 minutes, then reconnect using your new WiFi name and password.
