1. Connect to the router’s network.
On a phone: turn on Wi-Fi and connect to the router’s network, usually named something like MikroTik XXX.
On a computer: use an Ethernet cable to connect one end to your computer and the other to a LAN port on the router.

2. Check the current network’s gateway address.
On a phone: open Wi-Fi settings and look for “Gateway” or “Router.”
On a computer: check the network status and find the “Default Gateway.”
For detailed instructions, see: How to Find Your Router’s IP Address.
If the gateway shows 192.168.88.1, you can use this address to log in.
3. Enter 192.168.88.1 in your browser’s address bar.
Open your browser and type 192.168.88.1 directly into the address bar, then press Enter. Do not add “www” or enter it in a search engine.
Common mistakes to avoid:

4. Enter the login username and password.
For MikroTik routers, the default username is usually admin and the default password is blank (leave it empty to log in).
Some new devices may require you to set a password on first login. Others may have the default password printed on a label at the bottom of the device—always follow the instructions on your device.
Note: This is the admin password, not your Wi-Fi password.

5. Access the admin panel to make settings.
Once logged in, you’ll see the router’s admin interface. To change Wi-Fi settings, such as network name (SSID) or password, go to the Wireless/Wi-Fi menu and update the settings as needed.
