Step 1: Connect to Your Fritz.Box
Before logging into Fritz.Box, make sure your device (computer, phone, or tablet) is connected to the router. You can use one of the following two methods:
- Wired connection: Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to the LAN port of Fritz.Box for a stable and hassle-free connection.
- Wi-Fi connection: Connect your device to the Fritz.Box Wi-Fi network. The default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password are usually printed on a label at the bottom of the router, so check there.
Note: If your device is connected to another Wi-Fi network, you won’t be able to access the Fritz.Box management page. Switch to the Fritz.Box network.
Step 2: Open the Fritz.Box Management Page
1. Open a web browser—Chrome, Firefox, or Edge are recommended; avoid using Internet Explorer or any outdated browsers.
2. In the browser’s address bar, enter http://fritz.box.
3. Press Enter and wait a moment for the management page to load.
Note: If the domain address http://fritz.box does not open, try http://192.168.178.1, which is usually another default login IP for Fritz.Box.
Step 3: Enter the Password to Log into Fritz.Box
1. After reaching the login page, the system will prompt you to enter the administrator password.
- If this is your first login: The default password is usually printed on the bottom of the Fritz.Box router. Look for information labeled "FRITZ!Box Password" and enter that password.
- If you have changed the login password before: Enter the password you set.
2. After entering the password, click "Login" to access the management interface.
Note: Forgot your password? Don't worry! Modern routers typically support password recovery. You can click the "Forgot Password" button on the login page and follow the instructions to reset it.
Step 4: Successfully Enter the Fritz.Box Management Interface!
If your password is correct, you should now accessed the Fritz.Box admin panel. Here, you can change the Wi-Fi name and password, view and manage connected devices, update firmware to enhance network performance, and more.
