If you’ve just got an AVM Fritz!Box router or need to reconfigure your network settings, logging into http://fritz.box will be your first step. This simple guide will walk you through the login process so you can easily access the router's admin interface.

Before attempting to log in, make sure you're entering the correct address. For Fritz!Box routers, the usual login address is http://fritz.box, not http://www.fritz.box. Adding the "www" prefix may prevent you from accessing the admin interface.

Alternatively, some router models can also be accessed via http://192.168.178.1.

Step 1: Connect Your Device

• Wired connection: Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer, phone, or other network devices directly to one of the router’s LAN ports.
• Wireless connection: If your device supports Wi-Fi and you know the router's wireless network name (SSID) and password, you can connect to the router over Wi-Fi.

Step 2: Open Your Browser and Enter the Correct Address

• Open the web browser on your computer or mobile device, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
• In the browser’s address bar, enter http://fritz.box (note: do not add the "www" prefix).
• Press Enter, and the browser will automatically load the router’s login page (as shown below).

Step 3: Log In

• On the Fritz.Box login page, you will typically need to enter a username (some models may not require this) and a password (always required). For most Fritz.Box routers, if a username is required, you can try the default "admin," and the password can usually be found on a label on the back of the router or in the accompanying documentation. • After entering the correct username and password, click the "Login" button or a similar functional option.

Step 4: Start Configuring

• Once logged in, you'll be taken to the router's admin interface. Here, you can configure network settings, view connected devices, change the Fritz.Box login password, set up your Wi-Fi name and password, and more according to your needs.
