Having trouble with weak Wi-Fi at home? Many people turn to Pix-Link devices—like Wi-Fi boosters, repeaters, or routers—to improve their network coverage. But how do you set one up? A crucial first step is logging into the device’s admin panel.
Most Pix-Link devices use 192.168.7.1 as their default login IP address. Once you connect to the device’s Wi-Fi, you can open a browser and go to that address to access the settings page. In this guide, we’ll use a Pix-Link router as an example to explain how to log in to the 192.168.7.1 settings page.
How to Log In to the Pix-Link Admin Page at 192.168.7.1
Step 1: Connect to the Pix-Link Wi-Fi Network
Once the Pix-Link device is plugged in, it will broadcast a Wi-Fi signal—usually something like “PIX-LINK_XXXX” or “Wireless-N.” Go to your phone or computer’s Wi-Fi settings, find the signal, and connect to it.
Note: Sometimes the network may show “No Internet” or “No Network Access” after connecting. That’s completely normal—it won’t affect your ability to log in to the settings page.
Step 2: Open a Browser and Enter 192.168.7.1
Once you're connected to the Wi-Fi, open any web browser on your device (Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc.). In the address bar, type: http://192.168.7.1 and hit Enter. This will take you to the 192.168.7.1 login screen.
Here are a few common mistakes to avoid:
Typing “www.192.168.7.1” — this is incorrect; don’t add “www.”
Entering addresses like 192.168.7.1.com, 19216871, 192.168.1.7, or http//192.168.7.1 — all of these are wrong
Typing the IP into a search bar (like Chrome or Safari) instead of the browser’s address bar — this will take you to unrelated websites
Correct method: Type 192.168.7.1 directly into the top address bar of your browser.
Step 3: Enter Username and Password to Access the Admin Panel
Once the login page loads, you’ll be prompted to enter your username and password.
For most Pix-Link devices, the default login credentials are:
Username: admin
Password: admin
After entering the credentials, click the “Login” button to access the Pix-Link admin dashboard.
What Can You Do After Logging In?
Once you're in the admin panel, you’ll have access to a variety of settings, such as:
Changing the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password
Switching operation modes (Router, Repeater, or AP)
Viewing connected devices
Adjusting signal strength, and more
All these options are clearly laid out on the Pix-Link settings page, and the on-screen instructions are easy to follow.
