Step 1: Ensure Device is Connected to the Router
First, connect your computer or smartphone to the router either wired or wirelessly. If you’re using a computer, you can connect to the router’s LAN port with an Ethernet cable. If you’re using a smartphone, turn on Wi-Fi settings and find the router’s Wi-Fi network to connect.
Note: If your device is connected to another network (such as mobile data or a different Wi-Fi network), you will not be able to access the admin panel of the target router.
Step 2: Enter the Login Address 192.168.3.1
Open any browser (such as Chrome, Edge, Safari, etc.) on your device, and type 192.168.3.1 directly into the address bar, then press Enter.
Note: Make sure to enter the IP address in the browser's address bar, not the search bar. If entered incorrectly, you may be redirected to a search engine page instead of the router's login page.
Step 3: Log in to the 192.168.3.1 Admin Panel
On the login page that opens, enter the router's admin username and password. By default, this information can usually be found on the label at the bottom of the router, with common combinations being “admin/admin” or “admin/123456.”
Note: If you have previously changed the username or password, use the modified information. If you’ve forgotten them, you may need to reset the router to factory settings. Resetting will restore all configurations to their defaults, including the Wi-Fi password, default username, and password.
Step 4: Access the 192.168.3.1 Admin Panel
After successfully logging in, you will see the router’s admin panel. This panel typically has multiple tabs, such as “Network Settings,” “Wireless Settings,” and “Security Settings.” Select the relevant tab based on your needs to enter the corresponding settings.
Note: If login fails, double-check your username and password for accuracy. If you still can’t log in, try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser. If that doesn’t work, consider restarting the router and trying to log in again.
Step 5: Modify Desired Settings (e.g., Change Wi-Fi Password)
If you want to change the Wi-Fi password, find the “Wireless Settings” or “Wi-Fi Settings” option, usually located in the main menu or a submenu of network settings.
- Click “Wireless Settings”.
- In the “Wireless Security” or “Wi-Fi Password” section, find and modify the current password.
- After entering a new Wi-Fi password, click the “Save” button.
Note: It is recommended that the new password includes a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols for enhanced security, making it less susceptible to unauthorized access.
Step 6: Save the Settings
After completing all the configurations, click the “Save” or “Apply Changes” button, then exit the router’s admin panel.
Note: Some routers may prompt you to restart for the settings to take effect; please follow the page's prompt.
