Step 1: Connect to the Device’s Network.
Connect your computer or smartphone to the target network device. If you’re using a laptop or phone, you can connect directly via Wi-Fi to the device’s wireless network. For desktop computers, connect an Ethernet cable from the device’s LAN port to your computer.
Note: You must be connected to the specific device’s network to access the 192.168.0.254 admin panel. For example, if you’re connected to a different router in your home with an IP like 192.168.0.1, typing 192.168.0.254 won’t open the login page because you’re not connected to the right device.
Step 2: Open Your Browser and Enter the Address.
Type http://192.168.0.254 or https://192.168.0.254 into your browser’s address bar and press Enter. This should bring up the device’s login page.
Important: Make sure to enter the address directly into the browser’s address bar—not a search engine like Google or Bing. Searching the IP will show search results, not the device login page.
Step 3: Enter the Admin Username and Password.
Once the login page loads, you’ll see fields to enter your admin credentials.
Default username: admin
Default password: admin or leave blank
Some devices—like certain Tenda routers—don’t have a default password and require you to set one during the initial setup. In that case, enter the password you created.
Step 4: Successfully Log In.
After entering the correct username and password, click the “Login” button to access the admin panel. From here, you can manage your device settings, such as changing your Wi-Fi name and password, updating firmware, setting bandwidth limits, parental controls, and more.
