1. First, make sure the computer, phone, or tablet you’re using is connected to the router and that the network connection is stable. If you're using a wired connection, plug the Ethernet cable into one of the LAN ports (not the WAN port) on the router and connect the other end to your device. If you're connecting wirelessly, enable the Wi-Fi function on your device and connect to the router's Wi-Fi network.
2. Once connected, open a common web browser (such as Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Baidu, or QQ). In the address bar, enter the router's IP address, 192.168.10.1, and then press Enter.
Note: Ensure you input the correct address without “www” or “http://”— just enter “192.168.10.1”.
3. After entering the IP address, you should be directed to the router's login page. Typically, you'll see a login box asking for a username and password. These default login credentials can usually be found on a label on the bottom of the router or in its user manual. Common default combinations are “admin/admin” or “admin/1234”. If you've previously changed the password, enter your custom password.
If you've forgotten the password, you may need to reset the router to factory settings. You can do this by pressing and holding the reset button (usually located on the back of the router) for about 10 seconds. After the reset, the username and password will revert to the default settings.
4. Once logged in, you’ll be taken to the 192.168.10.1 router settings interface, typically divided into sections like “Network Settings,” “Wireless Settings,” or “Advanced Settings.” These options allow you to configure various network settings.
5. Some regular settings:
Change the Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID) and Password: Navigate to the “Wireless Settings” or “Wi-Fi Settings” section. In the “Wi-Fi Name (SSID)” field, enter a new name for your network. In the “Password” field, create a new strong password that includes a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols for better security. After confirming the changes, click “Save” to apply them.
Change the Router’s IP Address: Go to the “Network Settings” or “LAN Settings” section, and find the option to configure the router’s IP address. You can change it to a new address (for example, 192.168.100.1), but make sure the new IP is within the same network range and doesn't conflict with any other device's IP address. After making changes, click “Save” to ensure the new settings take effect.
