FRITZ!Box Admin Password
The FRITZ!Box admin password is different from your Wi-Fi password. It’s used specifically for accessing the admin interface of the router.
You’ll typically find the login details on a sticker located on the back or bottom of the FRITZ!Box. This includes the login URL and the password for your device.
There are two login addresses you can use: http://192.168.178.1 or http://fritz.box. Both will take you to the FRITZ!Box admin panel.
The login password is not a generic “admin” or “123456.” Each FRITZ!Box is assigned a unique password at the factory. This password is fixed and printed on the device label.
If you’re using a German version of the FRITZ!Box, the label will usually say: FRITZ!Box-Kennwort
If you have the international English version, it will usually say: FRITZ!Box Password
For example, on a FRITZ!Box 7590, you might see something like:
FRITZ!Box-Kennwort: etappe 2535
In this case, “etappe 2535” is the password you’ll need to enter on the login page.
Some models may prompt you to change the password upon first login. If you’ve already changed it and forgotten it, the only solution is to reset the device to factory settings.

How to Access the FRITZ!Box Settings Interface
Accessing your FRITZ!Box settings is easy. Whether you want to change the Wi-Fi password or check connected devices, just follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Connect to the FRITZ!Box Network
Use your phone, laptop, or tablet—but make sure you’re connected to the FRITZ!Box’s Wi-Fi network or via Ethernet cable.
Step 2: Open a Browser and Enter the Login Address
In your browser’s address bar, type: http://192.168.178.1 or http://fritz.box
Important: Don’t enter the address into a search engine box—use the browser’s URL bar directly.
