Step 1: Connect to Your Router’s Wi-Fi.
First, connect your phone or computer to the TP-Link router’s Wi-Fi, or plug an Ethernet cable from your computer into one of the router’s LAN ports (any of ports 1–4 will work).
Make sure you’re connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. TP-Link routers usually broadcast a name like “TP-LINK_XXXX.” If your home has multiple routers—for example, a TP-Link and a Netgear—connecting to the Netgear Wi-Fi won’t let you access tplinkwifi.net, since you’ll be on the wrong network.
Step 2: Open a Browser and Enter the Login Address.
In your browser’s address bar, type tplinkwifi.net and press Enter (or tap Go if you’re on a phone).
You can use any common browser—Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox, or your phone’s built-in browser.
Be sure to enter the address in the browser’s address bar, not a search engine like Google. Typing it into the search bar will just take you to search results, not your router’s login page.
Also, don’t type variations like tplinkwifi.com, www.tplinkwifi.net, or tplinkwifi.net/login—those are incorrect. Just enter tplinkwifi.net directly (or click here).
Step 3: Enter Your Login Information.
You’ll now see a login box for your TP-Link router. The default username and password are usually both admin. On newer models, the first time you access tplinkwifi.net you’ll be asked to create your own admin password—this is the password you’ll use to log in going forward.
If you’ve forgotten the login password, press and hold the RESET button on the back of the router for about 10 seconds to restore factory settings, then log in again with the default credentials or set up a new admin password.
Step 4: Access the Router’s Admin Panel.
Once you enter the correct credentials and click “Login,” you’ll be taken to the router’s admin dashboard. From here, you can find menus like “Wireless Settings” and “Internet Settings” where you can change your Wi-Fi name and password, configure advanced features, and more.
