Step 1: Connect Your Phone to the Router’s Wi-Fi
- Open your phone’s Settings and go to the Wi-Fi section.
- Find your router’s network name in the list (usually printed on a label at the bottom of the router) and tap to connect.
- If this is your first time connecting, enter the Wi-Fi password (also found on the router label).
Important: If your phone isn’t connected to the router’s Wi-Fi, you won’t be able to access 192.168.0.1!
Step 2: Open Your Browser and Enter 192.168.0.1
- Most phones come with a built-in browser (like Safari or Xiaomi Browser), and you can also use other browsers you've downloaded. Just choose the one that's convenient for you.
- Open the browser, type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar, and then tap "Go" or press Enter. The page will automatically load, and the 192.168.0.1 login page will open.
Of course, if the page doesn't open, it's best to check if you've forgotten to connect to the router's WiFi. Alternatively, you can clear the browser's cache and try again.
Step 3: Log into the Router’s Admin Panel
On the 192.168.0.1 login page, enter your router’s username and password, then tap Login to enter the router's admin panel.
Default username: admin
Default password: Usually admin or left blank (check your router label or user manual for details).
Step 4: Configure Basic Router Settings
Once logged in, you can start setting up your router. The basic settings generally include: setting the Wi-Fi name and password, and setting the router administrator password.

How to Change Your Wi-Fi Name and Password
- Go to Wireless Settings or Wi-Fi Settings.
- Find the SSID (Wi-Fi name) and Password fields. Enter your new Wi-Fi name and a strong password, then save the changes.
Tip: Choose a strong Wi-Fi password and save it in a memo to prevent unauthorized access.
How to Change the Router’s Admin Password
Setting an administrator password is mainly to prevent others from logging into your router and modifying the network settings at will.
- Go to System Tools or Security Settings.
- Find Admin Password, enter a new strong password, and save the changes.
Tip: Try not to set the administrator password the same as the Wi-Fi password to avoid it being easily guessed by others.
Step 5: Restart the Router
After the settings are completed, some router interfaces may prompt you to restart the router. Follow the prompts, and the router will automatically restart, and the new settings will take effect.
