1. Reset your router
While the router is powered on, use a toothpick to gently press and hold the reset button on the router for more than 10 seconds, and then release the button when the indicator lights start flashing. The router will automatically restart and restore its factory default configuration.
2. Reconfigure the router and set a new Wi-Fi password
Connect a network cable from the router’s LAN port to your computer’s network port.
Open your browser and enter 192.168.1.1 (your router's IP) in the address bar.
Log in with the router administrator username and password (usually found on the label or in the manual).
Click Next to begin the setup.
When prompted for the Internet mode, select PPPoE (ADSL dial-up), and click Next.
Enter the broadband username and password provided by your ISP.
Set your Wi-Fi name in the SSID field. Choose WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK as the encryption method and create a password with at least 8 characters in the PSK password field.
Click Restart to apply the settings.
After configuration, connect the network cable from the modem’s LAN port to the router’s WAN port.
3. Set admin password
Open a browser and enter 192.168.1.1 (your router's IP) in the address bar.
Log in with the router’s current admin username and password.
Expand the System Tools and click on Administrator Password (or similar options).
Enter the new password and click Save.
If prompted to restart the router, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
