Most wireless routers can be managed through a mobile app, so you don't have to open a browser and enter the router's management address every time. TP-Link routers can be managed using the Tether app. Once your device is added, you can manage your network and change various settings directly from the app. If you want to log in to your TP-Link router using your phone, follow the steps below.
How to Use TP-Link Tether to Change Your Wi-Fi Password
1. Open your phone's app store, search for the official TP-Link router app, Tether, and install it. You can also scan the QR code below to download the app directly.
2. Open your phone's Wi-Fi settings and connect to the Wi-Fi network from your TP-Link router. Turn off mobile data on your phone to prevent it from automatically switching to a cellular connection.
3. Open the Tether app you just installed. If you already have a TP-Link ID, sign in with your account. If not, follow the on-screen instructions to create an account and then sign in.
4. In the app, find the TP-Link router you want to manage, then enter the router's admin password when prompted. If your router does not appear automatically, tap the "+" button in the top-right corner to add it.
5. Finally, tap the on-screen options to adjust your network settings as needed. For example, if you want to change your router's Wi-Fi password, tap More → Wi-Fi Settings, and update the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
