The Tenda BE12 Pro is a WiFi 7 dual-band router designed to deliver strong wireless coverage and a stable connection throughout the home. It can handle multiple devices at the same time, including phones, TVs, game consoles, NAS devices, and smart home devices.
You can set up the BE12 Pro using the Tenda WiFi App. Follow the steps below to complete the setup.
How to Set Up the Tenda BE12 Pro and Configure WiFi
1. Plug in the BE12 Pro router. Connect the Ethernet cable from your modem or ONT to the router's WAN port, then wait for the router to finish starting up.
2. On your phone, scan the QR code below or search for the Tenda WiFi App in the App Store or Google Play and install it. Then open the app and sign in. Learn more: Common Router Management Apps
3. Open the WiFi settings on your phone and turn off mobile data. Connect to the default WiFi network printed on the label of the router. If an "Unsecured Network" warning appears, ignore it and stay connected to the WiFi network.
4. Open the Tenda WiFi App you just installed. The app should automatically detect the BE12 Pro and display a prompt for a new router. Tap 【Configure】 to continue.
5. On the router setup screen, select 【Set as New Network】. The app will automatically detect the internet connection type used by your broadband service. Wait for the detection to finish.
6. If the app detects a PPPoE broadband connection, enter the broadband username and password provided by your internet service provider, as shown below. If it detects a dynamic IP connection, you'll be taken directly to the WiFi settings screen.
7. Next, create your WiFi name and password, then set an admin password for the router. The admin password is used to log in to the BE12 Pro admin page. You can follow the on-screen prompt and select 【Set Wi-Fi password to management password】, or create a separate admin password. Check that all the information is correct, then tap 【Next】.
8. Wait for the app to save the router settings. When the setup is complete, you'll see a 【Router configuration completed】 message along with your WiFi name, WiFi password, and admin password.
