James Qi graduated in 1990 from the School of Electronic and Information Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. In 1998, he earned a master's degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since then, he has built over 20 years of extensive hands-on experience in website development and operations within the internet industry.

In 2009, he founded IPSHU, leading the project planning, technical architecture, and data infrastructure. His vision is to create a comprehensive, globally accessible platform that provides reliable IP address information and internet knowledge.

As one of the early adopters of Google AdSense in China, he authored Google AdSense Practical Guide: Revealing the Secrets to Making Money Online with Google Ads in 2010, followed by a updated edition in 2018 titled Google AdSense Practical Guide: How to Earn Dollars Overseas with Google AdSense (2nd Edition). That same year, his experience was featured as an official success story by Google AdSense / AdMob.

Today, James focuses on generative AI, website operations, online advertising, search optimization, multilingual platform development, and traffic monetization.
